Cyrious Online provides four options for computing sales tax:
- Disable sales tax calculations (No Sales Tax)
- Single Sales Tax Rate
- Online Sales Tax Lookup
- Custom AvaTax Sales Tax Lookup
To set up your tax options, under 
, choose “Set up Your Tax Information”
Disable sales tax calculations (No Sales Tax)
If you select this option, Cyrious Online will always compute $0.00 in taxes. This option is mostly used for states that do not charge sales tax. If you already have taxes calculated on an order, the tax will stay the same unless you edit the order. Upon edit, the tax amount will be changed to $0.00.

Single Sales Tax Rate
If you select this option, Cyrious Online will always compute taxes on taxable items based on a single tax rate. Use this when all of your taxable sales are computed at the same rate.

You must specify the following information:
- Tax Rate - Enter the tax rate in percent that you charge.
- Tax Shipments/Deliveries out of - If this option is selected, sales tax is computed on all states/provinces in your country. If this is not checked, sales tax outside of your business state/province is calculated as $0.00.
- Tax International Shipments/Deliveries - If this option is selected, sales tax is computed on international orders. If this is not checked, sales tax for international orders is calculated as $0.00.
- Tax Products Marked as Services - If this option is selected, products marked as services are taxable. Otherwise, tax for these items is calculated as $0.00.
- Tax Installation - If this option is selected, products marked as installation are taxable. Otherwise, tax for these items is calculated as $0.00.
- Tax Shipping - If this option is selected, amounts from shipping are taxable. Otherwise, tax for these items is calculated as $0.00.
Online Sales Tax Lookup
If you select this option, Cyrious Online will lookup your tax rate based on the origin and shipment/delivery address and the type of product. Your business address is assumed to be the ship-from location. The delivery or ship-to address is the destination. For local pickup, the business address is used as the destination address also.

Cyrious Online's server than take the addresses, the products (code by tax classification), the customer's tax classification, and the prices and look up the sales tax using Avalara's AvaTax service.
You must also set the following options:
- Which countries are taxable.
- Canada - Calculate Taxes on Canadian Sales
- US - Calculate Taxes on US Sales
- Which states are taxable.
- Tax All states and provinces
- Only Tax specific states/provinces.
