The approval tab is the same as the approval tab for your business. Everything will default to what you set when you first set up your business, but now you can adjust it specifically for this company.
The first thing you have to do is decide in what scenarios you need approval. You can set your defaults under Settings, but each Website and Company you create has the option to customize their settings.

Once you decide when you need financial approval, the next question is who can approve orders?

You might have some overlap between Contacts and Customer Website Administrators. A customer website administrator doesn't neccessarily have to be in your company. So if you want to give approval rights to a contact in a different company, maybe the HQ company, make that contact a Customer Website Administrator and here in the companies approval settings give them approval rights.
